| Maskiot Adults: Also on the Move
The first thirteen permanent homes have been completed, and Maskiot's families are beginning to move into them. The homes are situated on the upper level of the yishuv overlooking the site where the Cherna Moskowitz Synagogue will be situated.
Once the thirteen permanent homes are fully occupied, the vacated temporary homes will welcome new families moving to Maskiot. Funding from the Ministry of Housing is to be invested in the new neighborhood's infrastructure: sidewalks, traffic circle, as well as the landscaping and paving of road around the synagogue. Some moneys will also be allocated to improving the roads and water infrastructure in the neighborhood with the temporary homes.
The remaining seven homes will begin construction shortly, and are expected to be completed within the next 14-18 months. The next stage of residential development is to be sited adjacent to the temporary residential area, and this stage will include developing infrastructure for another 20-30 single-family homes. Maskiot is currently engaged in initiating the engineering of the infrastructure.
